I use these two great tools from from my jewellry-tool box:

A *riffler file*. Metal-working (jewellry, etc.) tool I use a lot for
harmonica tweaking. It pokes reeds through the slot and then it tunes them.
That's my quick and dirty for reeds.

 And for embossing (if I do it): I use a *burnisher*. You may find one in a
jewellry supply catalog.
